LEADERS is a non-profit organisation. It’s activities are largely dependent on the subscription received from its members. Need for additional funds for fulfilling its mandate is a constant need. Pursuing legal remedies, for solving issues of larger interest, is a costly business.

Special Appointments & Co-option of members to the Executive Committee – Guidelines Reg.

Executive Committee in its meeting held on 26.03.2018, framed the guidelines for Special Appointments & Co-option of members to the Executive Committee in addition to those stated in para 6.5.3 by the bye-laws of the Association. The guidelines are as follows:

1. For furtherance of the cause of the Association, the Executive Committee shall include and operate the following posts, subject to the joining of minimum number of members in each such category as listed below:

2. The following shall be the duties of the co-opted Executive Members:

2.a. Joint Secretary (Ex-Staff), Joint Secretary (Women), Joint Secretary (Scheduled Castes), Joint Secretary (Scheduled Tribes), Joint Secretary (Other Backward Classes), Joint Secretary (Medical Doctor), Joint Secretary (Physically Disabled) – They shall assist the General Secretary in his work. They shall represent the issues related to their respective category of members in the Executive Committee. They shall also perform such other duties as may be entrusted or delegated to them by the General Secretary / Executive Committee.

2.b. Executive Member (Ex-Staff) – The Executive Member (Ex-Staff) shall assist the Joint Secretary (Ex-Staff) in his work. He shall also perform such other duties as may be entrusted or delegated to him  by the General Secretary / Executive Committee.

2.c. Executive Member (Women) – The Executive Member (Women) shall assist the Joint Secretary (Women) in her work. She shall also perform such other duties as may be entrusted or delegated to her  by the General Secretary / Executive Committee.

2.d. Executive Member (Scheduled Castes) – The Executive Member (Scheduled Castes) shall assist the Joint Secretary (Scheduled Castes) in his work. He shall also perform such other duties as may be entrusted or delegated to him  by the General Secretary / Executive Committee.

2.e. Executive Member (Scheduled Tribes) – The Executive Member (Scheduled Tribes) shall assist the Joint Secretary (Scheduled Tribes) in his work. He shall also perform such other duties as may be entrusted or delegated to him  by the General Secretary / Executive Committee.

2.f. Executive Member (Other Backward Classes) – The Executive Member (Other Backward Classes) shall assist the Joint Secretary (Other Backward Classes) in his work. He shall also perform such other duties as may be entrusted or delegated to him  by the General Secretary / Executive Committee.

2.g. Executive Member (Medical Doctor) – The Executive Member (Medical Doctor) shall assist the Joint Secretary (Medical Doctor) in his work. He shall also perform such other duties as may be entrusted or delegated to him  by the General Secretary / Executive Committee.

2.b. Executive Member (Physically Disabled) – The Executive Member (Physically Disabled) shall assist the Joint Secretary (Physically Disabled) in his work. He shall also perform such other duties as may be entrusted or delegated to him  by the General Secretary / Executive Committee.

3. Mode of Appointment – The Executive Committee shall invite nominations for the said posts. Appointment shall be made by the Executive Committee by selecting from amongst the nominations received. If no nominations are received, the Executive Committee may decide to keep the post vacant or appoint a suitable member.

The Road Not Taken

Tow roads diverged in a yellow wood,
